International Workshop on Institutional Economics
LATEST NEWS
SIXTH INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON INSTITUTIONAL ECONOMICS
THERE ARE NO PLACES LEFT AT THE 270GBP RATE
Places at Offley Place are now all taken up. We have booked overflow
accommodation at another hotel, but unfortunately their rates are much
higher.
The full cost of this workshop (including food and accommodation) is now
350GBP. This includes free transport from the overflow hotel to Offley
Place.
Enquiries concerning existing or future bookings should be sent to
Susanne Jennings
<s.2.jennings@xxxxxxxxxxx>
There are a FEW subsidised places still available (120GBP) for graduate
students, subject to confirmation that no financial support for the
workshop is available from their institution.
The subsidised places are available thanks to financial support for the
Workshop from the Cambridge Political Economy Society Trust.

SIXTH INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON INSTITUTIONAL ECONOMICS
THE NATURE AND EVOLUTION OF INSTITUTIONS
Organised by the Centre for Research in Institutional Economics,
University of Hertfordshire, UK.
Speakers: John Searle (University of California at Berkeley ), Margaret
Archer (University of Warwick), Viktor Vanberg (University of Freiburg),
Tony Lawson (University of Cambridge), Thorbjørn Knudsen (University of
Southern Denmark), and Geoff Hodgson (University of
Hertfordshire).
This residential workshop will be held in
Offley Place, Great Offley, Hertfordshire, UK
30 June - 2 July 2004
This residential workshop is designed to provide in-depth discussion of
cutting-edge issues in institutional economics, in a forum that permits
the attention to detail and definition that is often lacking in larger,
conference-style events. The expected maximum number of participants is
50. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
Great Offley is a beautiful Hertfordshire village, in between Hitchin and
Luton. It is a 4-mile taxi ride from London Luton Airport (with cheap
flights by Easyjet - see www.easyjet.com) and a 3-mile taxi ride from
Hitchin railway station (with regular trains from London Kings Cross).
There are regular bus services connecting London Luton Airport with
London Heathrow and London Stansted airports.
