a streak of global Keynesianism in Chossudovsky

An interesting phenomenon: radical scholars like Susan George and Michel
Chossudovsky make certain noises (statements) that could easily be called
"global-Keynesian". Here are some quotations from Michel Chossudovsky, The
Globalization of Poverty (2nd ed., 2003):

P71 "the economic stabilization measures imposed on the South and East [sc.
of the world] backfire on the economies of the rich countries: poverty in
the Third World contributes to a global contraction in import demand which
in turn affects economic growth and employment in the OECD countries."

P75 "the process of phasing out industry in the developed countries
contributes to a contraction of market demand, which in turn undermines the
efforts of developing countries to sell manufactured goods to a (shrinking)
Western market."
