The Department of Economics is recruiting for a tenure track
assistant/associate professor position. Candidates must have PhD degree in
hand by date of hire. Candidates must have a specialization in either
Development Economics or International Economics broadly defined to include
the capacity to teach International Business students within the
International Business major. A Latin American emphasis is preferred. It
is expected that the candidates will have the potential to accomplish
significant research and show an interest in service to students. Position
may possibly include participation in distance education as well as evening
and weekend instruction. Deadline for Applications: December 1, 2003.
Screening will begin on December 1, 2003 and continue until filled. NMSU is
