Joan Robinson and global Keynesianism
I would like to call attention to a wonderful quote (wonderful if you are a
supporter of global Keynesianism):
"Robinson's work embodies a global Keynesian vision that may be considered
as an alternative to the current paradigm of neo-liberalism founded upon
free trade theory and faith in automatic adjustment mechanisms to solve
macroeconomic and financial disequilibria."
>From page 41 of: Robert A. Blecker, "Global Keynesianism versus the New
Mercantilism: International Economics after Joan Robinson". Paper prepared
for the Joan Robinson Centennial Conference, University of Vermont,
Burlington, October 2003.
