Economic Dynamics

Dear Colleagues:

Just a reminder that the 2003 International Conference of the System
Dynamics Society will be held from July 20-24 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New
York City. The conference theme this year is "economic dynamics" and there
will be a variety of presentations from both heterodox economists, and
system dynamicists who are engaged in economic modeling. Of note is that Jay
W. Forrester, founder of the field of system dynamics, will give a plenary
session talk titled "Economic Theory for the New Millennium" and Glen
Atkinson, editor of the Journal of Economic Issues, will give a plenary
session address in which he will discuss the future of system dynamics
within heterodox economics.

In addition to presentations and workshops related to economic dynamics, an
Economic Roundtable is scheduled. The goal of the roundtable event is to
bring together individuals who are interested in the application of system
dynamics to economic problems, with a special focus on (but not limited to)
advancing the Post-Keynesian-Institutionalist paradigm. In addition, there
will be discussion about formation of an Economic Dynamics Chapter of the
System Dynamics Society.

For complete conference information please visit the conference website at

Dynamics Society office at <system.dynamics@xxxxxxxxxx>.

Sincerely,

Michael J. Radzicki
