The Nobel Prize
Folks,
While consuming articles on an unrelated subject, I stumbled upon "The prize
in economic science in memory of Alfred Nobel" by Assar Lindbeck (JEP March
'85). Here Lindbeck makes perfectly clear that the economics prize by logical
necessity - due to the very nature of the science of economics - cannot be
given to mediocre economists.
I guess we now know why professor Lindbeck himself will never win the prize...
