I wonder if the war could be averted. There's trouble in Latin America,
Japan, China's getting there. It's happening all over the world. Just some
musing.


Various new/egroup news:

Just heard on the news that Chavez has seized control of Coca Cola in
Venezuela accusing it of withholding food from the people during the
"strike".

America has suggested that war could be averted if Saddam Hussein were
exiled to a third country. Iraq's neighbours are keen on any solution that
does not involve a military conflict

Argentina, Brazil, Indonesia, Turkey and others want help from the
International Monetary Fund but are less keen on its prescriptions. Did the
IMF become a hostage to fortune by blinking first in its latest stand-off
with Argentina?
