I have read with great interest the series on
central banking by Henry C.K. Liu in Asia Times. The critique of "central
banking" as the enemy of "national banking" is just about magnificent. What
makes me wonder is that Marx is not mentioned, neither in Part 1 nor in the Part
on Europe. Does that mean that Marx (I mean Marx, not Marxisms of various
stripes) (a) has said nothing on national or central banking, as opposed to
private banking; or (b) has said something, but it is outdated or not important?
I don't know Marx scriptures well enough to answer that for myself. Can someone
please comment?
