Paul,
You are beginning to sound like one of those post modernists who
contaminated much of social sciences outside economics for a long
time. I know you aren't one of them but you're not always helping us
see the difference. Many a thinker has proposed exactly what you're
saying through history, and that only enforces your point. However,
that said you also have to acknowledge that even when the number of
universes is unknown we have to establish fix-points by means of which
we can navigate. Our instruments are blunt but they are the only ones
we have. What about that gift horse, Paul?
