language over pkt -- let's be civil
Dear Colleagues:
I have noticed recently that on occasion we seem to be doing a lot of name calling and making comments about one another that seem more like personal attacks than attacks on arguments. I would hope that we could turn this around, and instead of calling each other names that we instead think of positive things to say about one another, even if we disagree very strongly with a person's position. I appreciate the effort and time people give to pkt and their willingness to share their ideas and thoughts. Please think of this list as a room of people that you are with and be sensitive to people's feelings. The goal of the list is to share seriously intellectual ideas about Keynes and his followers, and not attack one another. I personally appreciate the contributions of Henry, Alan, Paul and others. In the future messages that have hints of personal attacks simply will not go over the list. I rather have a silent list than one that turns people off. There are so many important issues that we need to be thinking about today, lets focus on those.
Thanks.
