What jobs? When living on a GMI people will produce same thing that is produced
by the idle rich, nothing. If unearned income is OK for rich why is welfare so
bad. Must we have one value system for the rich and another for the poor?
We need to admit that with automation full employment produces too much.
Once we had a scarcity of labor, but now the limiting factor on production
would be resource and pollution limits if we weren't stuck with wage-slavery
and the hyper-activity consumer economy that uses waste to create too many jobs.
Instead of making fake paid jobs to match the labor force we need to match the
labor
force to the paid jobs we really need, and that is much less than full
employment.
With leisure time people could do all the unpaid work that is neglected now.
And,
serious conservation could be accepted policy without needless hardship.
Do you support the old law from Russia, he who doesn't work doesn't eat? Do you
think that it's OK to get money without working? I do. Maybe I am
pro-capitalist and
you are not.
