All of this ridiculous debate over the legitimacyof
heterodox economics reminds me of a similar debate in another time over how many
angels could dance on the head of a pin.
If we are interested in real world problems as
opposed to intellectual game-playing the fundamental economic problem
is the role of government in a capitalist system and the fundamental
political problem is elitism vs democracy.
