I would heartily recommend the book "Raibow's End: The Crash of 1929" by
Maury Klein to you and other list members.
It is a very unique book IMO in that the author treats the subject in a
strictly historical manner (in great detail) and makes absolutely no
claims or even any hints that " had I been around at the time and my
advice followed there would have been no stock market crash and no Great
Depression". His book is strictly historical without any self-serving
attributes and no self serving ego trips.
Since posts can be misunderstood, let me hasten to add that I agree with
your post 100% and my post is ONLY a recommendation of a great
historical book IMO...nothing more, nothing less.
