Re: Stiglitz on Soros
I am going to jump in and play Ric Holt briefly.
I am sure that not much purpose will be served
by getting a discussion going about the current
situation between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
Although there are some economic aspects to this
matter, this is a horribly emotionally charged issue,
especially right now, that is NOT going to be
resolved by any discussion that happens on this list.
The Washington Post just had a story about various
groups of people yelling and screaming at each
other in the streets of Washington over this issue.
The bottom line of the story was that none of the
people involved in either the screaming or listening
to the screaming were remotely convinced by what
they heard (or said) to or from the other parties.
I expect that any further discussion of this matter here
will simply lead to the internet equivalent of that without
anyone being informed of anything that they do not
already know or convinced of anything that they already
do not believe.
