Join the Society for Chaos Theory in Psychology & Life Sciences
Dear Colleagues,
This could be a good time to join the Society for Chaos Theory in
Psychology & Life Sciences. If you are already an active member,
please pass this message on to someone who you think should become
involved.
*****
TRYING TO KEEP UP WITH THE LATEST DEVELOPMENTS IN NONLINEAR DYNAMICS?
If you are seriously chaos-interested then SCTPLS is simply the Place to Be.
The Society for Chaos Theory in Psychology & Life Sciences is where you
can meet the major contributors to the field, and add your own contribution.
SCTPLS supports a wide spectrum of scholarly research and broad interest in
the theory and application of chaos theory to, among others, psychology,
economics, sociology, organisations, biology, criminology, political science
and any and all other disciplines involving human behavior as a significant
variable.
Among the benefits the Society offers are:
# Discounted dues for students.
# Professional training in chaos and it applications.
At Workshops associated with our Conferences we give
training in the techniques of dynamical systems and data analysis, the
application of chaos theory to biology, clinical, organisational and other
topic areas.
# Subscription to the Society's Journal, "Nonlinear Dynamics in
Psychology & the Life Sciences" (The hardcopy version is free with
membership). NDPLS is the leading journal in its field, publishing
peer-refereed research and theoretical papers. It is abstracted
in APA PsychInfo, Medline, JEL/Econlit.
# Discount registration at Society Conferences, including the annual
International Summer Conference. The Annual International Conference
features a wide range of International guest speakers and symposia,
plus Workshops. Our next (12th!) Conference is in Portland Oregon, 1-4
August 2002. For further details and Call for Papers, see:

see the forthcoming INSC website (linked from SCTPLS Website.)
# Free Society Newsletter (hardcopy).
The NL runs regular news items and reports on the
Society and its doings, including tutorials on areas of nonlinear science
and its applications.
# Book discounts in subject related areas.
At our conferences the Bookstand offers discounts on
a wide range of chaos-related books - you won't buy them cheaper at Amazon
folks!
# The Society Website: <http://societyforchaostheory.org/>
Our website features events doings and news of the
Society, including Conference Programs and Abstracts, Tutorials and details
of our Data Library and Data Analysis Project; plus "Fractal of The Day"
