Since it is self-evident that you are arguing by misplaced
analogy, what's the point? A complex system as a whole is
not analogous to a single element within a mechanical
system. First, because the analogy is about being at a
macro model and how much micro level understanding is
necessary, while the argument is the reverse, and second
because of the analogy is drawn from a mechanical to a
particular type of complex system. Read Rosen on why this
doesn't work, I don't have time for unpaid tutoring at
the moment.
