The question, though, is that since the term "dole"
means income support conditioned on being unemployed,
what is the POINT of using it to mean something else.
It's like saying, "When I say food stamps, I mean a
monetary payment made by governments to individuals
independent of any requirement that it be spent on
food."  Obviously that explanation would probably
clarify an otherwise incomprehensible argument, but
it wouldn't make clear why anyone would want to use
the term in such a confusing/deceptive manner.
