this is a good example of what Samir Amin calls "superexploitation", i.e., a
combination of "regular" exploitation (Marxist definition) with "unequal
exchange", According to Amin, superexploitation happens to workers of the Third
World, but not to workers of the First World, since workers (and any consumers)
in the First World benefit from unequal exchange
