Don Lavoie

     This is to let people know that Don Lavoie
of George Mason University died of cancer a
few days ago.  He was the major professor of
Peter Boettke and an important figure in the
more socially liberal "market process" school
of Austrian economists.  Originally a Soviet
economist, he had in recent years been into
hermeneutics and post modern analysis, and had
in fact left the economics department.  He was
also an advocate of the chaos as self organization
school of thought.
