pkt seminar on the economics of the crisis

Dear pkters,
 To get ourselves focused on what we should be doing on pkt, I would like to suggest that we carry a discussion on what needs to be done to get the economy on track again after the WTC collapse. Workers are being laid off, the central bank has acted in a limited way, etc. What policy recommendations can Post Keynesians make to put right the United States economy, the world economy now and in the future. If you do have some ideas and want to be part of this discussion, please use the above subject heading for your messages. The focus of the discussion should be on economic policy, and not politics though I know they relate.
