Also, many major firms which had been kept in the city by tax concessions are now
using this tragedy to move out of the city to cheaper rent locations, permanently
shrinking demand. Already electricity cost drop 50% yesterday in NY city from
$71.96 per megawatt hour to $45.77, due to lack of demand. None of the back
office operation will return to lower Manhattan. Will the city ask the firm to
repay tax concessions?
Most firms will transfer their third quarter losses to insurance companies.
