Oh sure, this pins down the rough stylized fact of labor's constant
share of GDP in the major capitalist economies with amazing foresight.
Right.
The truth of the matter is that the fate of the working class under
capitalism is almost the reverse of Marx's economic (as opposed to
sociological) predictions. And yet when it comes to developing
countries, some people want to haul out the same failed 19th century
predictions for equally misguided but (in the light of historical
experience) much less excusable reuse.
