Re: Joan Robinson quote
Title: Re: Joan Robinson quote
Could someone please provide me with the reference of
Joan
Robinson's quote, "the misery of being exploited by
capitalists
is nothing compared to the misery of not being exploited at all"
?
Thanks in
advance,

If a worker doesn't posses any material or financial
capital,
then his education and his body are his capital. Workers
manage their capital by taking an interest in their food,
fitness,
clothing and heritage.
These days plenty of credit income goes around but not
enough
interest income. Without enough interest income, workers cannot
manage
their own capital effectively. Workers spend too much time
buying
things with credit instead of spending more time making
things
with interest.
In the 1930's I believe the opposite problem was the case.
Plenty of interest income went around, but not enough
credit income.
