I have heard him on TV saying that they consider the real, but dropped it
due to its instability. Perhaps it was just cheap-talk.

As for the value of euros, I think he is just assuming that once euros are
circulating, demnad for them will go up, therefore leading to a
revaluation.  BTW, what is TA?
