Samuelson textbook content query
The early editions of Samuelson make a very clear
presentation of "the paradox of thrift." I heard at
one point, I believe from s.o. on this group, that the
80s and later editions de-emphasized this presentation
possibly under the influence of Japan-envy. (ha!) Can
anyone confirm this and can anyone explain how the
"paradox of thrift" presentation was changed, dumbed
down, or omitted? I'd appreciate a citation as well.
Thank you,
