It is more like "Big Responsiblism". ;-)
If it is like "Big Brotherism", then so is a
vehicle permit and a drivers license.
Remember credit cards are a relatively new
technology. It is like living in the early days of
the automobile. As the number of cars grew
new laws and regulations were needed.
