Alan,
It is the incidence of the tax that I think is obscene, so I guess I agree
with you.
As for the size of the tax cut, to the extent that it is in lieu of
spending on glaring social needs--adequate health insurance,
infrastructure, education, the environment, et. al.--then, if not obscene,
it is rather misguided I think.
