The Politics of Recession

The battle of the Clinton Recession is officially on.

Gene Sperling is on CNBC live to accuse the Bush Team of talking down the
economy, by claiming the 48 out of 50 private sector economists projected
continuing, albeit slower, growth.  The moderator reminded him the
economists have been wrong frequently.  Sperling also criticize the the
Bush tac cut, arguing for "fiscal responsibility".  He calls for a smaller
tax cut and debt reduction.
