Yes, your response to Paul does address some of the issues I dealt with in
my post to you.
As in Bruce's case, I was wrong in thinking that what you mean by
'epistemological uncertainty' is the same as what Paul means by the term.
However, I still have some doubts about your definitions, so I'd like to ask
you a few clarification questions.
(1) Both what Paul calls 'epistemological uncertainty' (associated with
limitations in human computational power) and 'ontological uncertainty'
(associated with what he calls a transmutable reality) can be associated
with what you call 'epistemological uncertainty', right?
(2) So can 'ergodic risk', also mentioned in your post?
(3) Isn't the lack of knowledge caused by limited computational powers x
complexity also related to ontology? If so, why do you (apparently) restrict
the expression 'ontological uncertainty' to the sense Paul gives to it?
