I wonder if this schema is built too closely around the dichotomy of
random/nonrandom.

Can any of these categories contain the position JMK staked out in the
1937 QJE article?  He seems to make a very clear ontological argument
about future events there that would exclude him from the broad category
(II) that he occupies in this schema, although the subcategories do pick
up aspects of the way he thought about belief-formation.
