RE: biunivocity
Ask Jeeves!
http://www.askjeeves.com
Apropos Greg's wondering about searchers. Yes, HotBot
has been eaten by the capitalist T-Rex. Google is now
better. AskJeeves is remarkable; it is a meta-searcher, a searcher
of searchers.
My question to Jeeves was: "What is the meaning of univocity?"
Jeeves didn't know but had a set of links to try. I tried only
one--Adler:
Here is a short Adler excerpt where a "Find" found the word, univocity:
The effort to give philosophical discovery the simplicity of mathematical
symbolism and the univocity of mathematical terms, and the effort to give
philosophical formulations the "analyticity" of mathematical statements,
put philosophy into a straitjacket from which it has only recently broken
loose by a series of almost self-destructive convulsions.
There may be a lot more among the 39 matches found by Jeeves.
