Hi all
I'm a French student starting my thesis on the subject "Stock Market, employment and Growth". I'm fed up -since the beginning- with the sterile neoclassical scheme, and I was wondering if anybody had heard about good books or articles on the subject, or even had guidelines to help me begin my research work I mean about the -keynesian- link between : 1- Stock Market and Growth 2- "Labor Markets" and Growth -I already have some ideas on that one, I will discuss them later- 3- Stock and Employment
I know that the link between finance and the real economy is not one of the most simple, but this is my last year at University so let's work hard on it !
I thank you in advance for your help,
Olivier GIOVANNONI
Olivier:
Look at my article "Volatile Financial Markets and the Speculator" in Economic Issues, Vol3, September 1998. This article is also posted on my web page.
Also see chapters 10-13 in my book MONEY AND THE REAL WORLD, 2nd edition, Macmillan, London 1978 for an analysis of the relationship between finance, accumulation and economic growth.
