RE: pkt's summer
I am in favor of covering Keynes and Paul Davidson's books
chapter by chapter. From my perspective, this would very informative for
those of us who have yet to take formal economics courses past the
undergraduate level.

Subject: pkt's summer
Pkters,
I'm trying to finish up the term -- one more
week -- so bear with
me, and then I can focus on pkt summer
plans. Again, there will be a
separate list to carry out the discussion of
doing a pk textbook. I'm
shooting for this weekend to get this done.
But also, I would like us
to have a discussion of Keynes's General
Theory. I'm still waiting to
hear from people of how we should approach
this project. Maybe the
easiest way to do this is chapter by
chapter. Please let me know what
you think. Also, I would like to cover Paul
Davidson's Macro book and
some writings by Joan Robinson. There has
been suggestions for pk
seminars too which I will mention later on.
In regard to the Yugoslav
war discussion. I find that academics are
simply very independent
people and they do what they want to do, but
please try to be
considerate of others who did not sign up to
pkt for this type of
discussion.
