Re: Macro-textbooks

Sachs and Larrain "Macroeconomics in the Global Economy" is strong in
open economy macroeconomics and I was always wondering why it didn't
become standard. Other more widely used intermediate texts include
Mankiw; Hall and Taylor; Gordon and the recent Blanchard text. On the
New Classical front I think Barro remains signal. As for a European
perspective may be Barro and Grilli's "European Macroeconomics" would
supplement your New Keynesian courses with a New Classical dose.
Regards.
