Please excuse my fellow Americans who think global, but from an
American perspective. I agree with you! An acceptance of hegemony is
essential if we are to be truly global in our thinking. A subjective approach
to global thinking would serve us well! I seriously question the value of
objective thinking on this matter. I do think that the Japanese know more
about what they want than we do.
Question. According to a recent economist article on purchasing
power parity (PPP), when you exchange dollars to yen, a Big Mac would cost the
same as in the United States. There are those of us who would not feed a Big
Mac to a hog, say nothing of a human being. What about the PPP of items
which do not not cause heart attacks and strokes??
