Re: Sweden -- A few reactions on the N.Y. Times article
Just a brief note. I know little about Sweden, but a fair amount about
journalism. Everything that is being written supports the main point of the
Times article -- socialist humanism is no more in Sweden. The report observes
that when ethnic diversity developed -- the response wasn't liberal and
humanistic, but racist and segregationist.
I find the facts about the economy and crime interesting because Sweden has
one of the worst reputations for implementing prohibition in its drug
policies. As a result, it has a high rate of AIDS infection for a Western
European Nation.
