Re: Utility maximizing
1. We know that if individuals are not regimented, brain
washed, or otherwise conditioned to make no choices,
they will chose what they like when they shop.
2. This cannot excuse any family, tribe, nation or planet
from building tombs for the dead while living people are
held in bondage, or from trade in luxuries while there are
poor among us.
3. UM is a tautology: Monkey chooses to scratch where it
itches -- Monkey maximizes the utility of scratching instead
of itching without response.
Gelles -- Read Hummel, know what money "is", if
not how to spread it where it will do the most good.
