Okay, call me a sucker for the empirical approach, but I just couldn't
help myself. I went and checked it out.

It turns out to be a page of links. The intro says in part:

> If some environmentalists are to be believed, we

In other words, he's not really sure WHAT the links point to.

You think this is a wild overstatement?

His first link:

<A HREF="http://www.sciam.com/0597issue/0597karl.html";>The Coming
Climate</A> - an excellent overview of global warming claims from
Scientific
     American.

would be mighty impressive if it *were* skeptical.

But, in the second paragraph of text on this page we find the following
statement:

                  because
populations, national economies and the use of
technology are all growing, the global average
temperature is expected to continue increasing, by an
additional 1.0 to 3.5 degrees C by the year 2100.

Pretty skeptical, hunh?

I don't want to reveal any of the other flaws with this site -- why
should I teach people how to do effective propaganda? But if you check
it out yourselves, you'll find this link is not the only fly in the
ointment.
