Query on East Asia
A general question to the list: does anyone know of a top-notch text
dealing with the rise of East Asia from war-torn backwater to global
metropole? Yes, I've waded through the Wade and argylled through the
Amsden, and have plenty of stats on Singaporean capital formation and
multinational FDI. But I'm looking for a radical synthesis of all this,
i.e. a broad-range analysis of why the East Asian economy experienced the
export industrialization it did, and how the various national development
policies added up (unwittingly) to a regional, European-Union-style
multinational Keynesianism. Any suggestions are welcome!
