Just for the record, PHR's arguments in today's exchange with
JBOD, get JJG's vote hands down. JB is not taking the
risk avoidance economic stimulus approach that makes sense
in these precincts.
On a related point, the new issue of Scientific American offers
eloquent testimony to a marriage between upbeat techno-
optimists and the heart and soul of the environmental movement.
Not that most in the movement will buy the romantic notions
of invention and gee whiz in the SA issue. But many who do
like SA are solid citizens with environmental movement credentials.
The special issue is great fun to read -- I especially like the Rosen
automotive drive train and the personal submarines-- hope they
succeed.
