Re: PKT digest 1349
Dear Friends:
I appreciate Ric's comments as well as a number of personal messages I
received thanking me for my contribution. Just a couple of points I
would like to make.
For those of us who find it more convenient to receive the list in
digest form the delete key is rather a blunt instrument. The guidelines
Ric suggested may well work, and be preferable to hands-on moderation.
Exercising this discretion in one or two cases would get rid of 90% of
the problem at the moment. (This is a ballpark figure for purposes of
argumentation only, not a result of econometric analysis; :-) )
Ric, please take a hard look at the balance between your admirable
scruples and the importance of this list for discussion, debate, and for
novices like myself, education.
For people who are determined enemies of post-keynesianism in particular
or economics in general polite requests will not work. It only emboldens
them. There is a difference between an open-house and a home-invasion.
warmest regards,
Bob
