I think that I addressed this issue before when I made a proposal to
implement a software modification which would allow each person on the
list to send a "block" message in order to block selected people from
their in-boxes. This could easily be extended to offer blocking
(temporarily) of subjects, content, etc. The whole point is the
economics of sifting mail. Quite simply, with absolutely no
(centralized) censorship, each person decides from whom they will
receive posts, even filter out posts with nasty words if you want.
This, along with Ric's stated intentions to enforce the explicit
guidelines would go a long way toward improving things.
Naturally, I'm willing to offer my services free of charge, as I
stated before.
