This year's model
The folks on the Austrian list have been trying their hands at picking
winners for this year's Nobel *Memorial* Prize in Economics. In fact some
are wagering some bigtime moolah. Names mentioned so far include Sen,
Tullock and Olson, Alchian and Demsetz, Baumol, and Kornai. Could a John K
Galbraith or an Albert O Hirschman ever win in this day and age?
We have already hit most of the latest fads- game theory, 'new' economic
history, 'new' institutional economics... but 'new' international
economics and 'new' endogenous growth theory still await
recognition...:(
What do pkt'ers say?
