Re: rough draft for changes at pkt

This is good. Keep the discussion going, so we all know what the issues
are. I would like to wrap this up by the end of the week, so we can
focus our thoughts on the world's economic problems. Let me make a couple
of points:

1) As long as I'm editor pkt will never become a monitored list.

2) We do have a problem. Many subscribers have complained about the
number of messages they are receiving and simply being overwhelmed.
We need to come up with a solution for this problem, and we need to
do it collectively which means there's going to be a compromise.
Let's try these proposals:

1) We voluntarily decide to send no more than 7 to 10 messages a week.
If someone goes over this amount I send them a note. If they do it again,
I send them another reminder. If they do it a third time, then I bring
it up to the whole group and people use peer pressure to stop the abuse.
We will try this for a three month test period and see how it works.

2) For the seminars, the forum is open.

Ok, I need to get back to doing some economics. Yes, maybe economists
are dentist. But after getting a root canal done last week, we sure don't
get their pay.
