Re: open forum about pkt
In response to Ric's inquiry, one convention I might suggest that
we adopt is that we 'clear the lines' a bit for seminars, cutting back
during seminar discussions on the usual 'cocktail party chatter' --
giving us a better opportunity to focus our attention on questions raised
by the seminar paper. My guess is that this is one convention that we
could easily have some chance of successfully achieving, if others like my-
self see the seminar format as one that we should especially cultivate.
And I'd also like to take the opportunity here to thank Gary, Ric, and
especially Paul for another terrific and highly stimulating seminar. I
know I speak not just for myself in expressing my appreciation for the
opportunity to listen in on and even participate in such high level profess-
ional discussions.
