Re: A Tired response
Paul, if I hadn't met you in Melbourne and formed the opinion that
you were charming, in a mid-west American kind of way, I would take
the following very badly:
Money is always neutral. No wonder you agree with Steve and Barkley,
they go to the same axiomatic church as you do. I go to a different
...
I
*tire* of having to mentally delete your insults every time I
consider replying to one of your posts. But what I tire of most
of all is the way in which your belligerence makes you *unlike*
your idol, who when challenged over a change of opinion,
replied to the effect that "If I am shown to be wrong, I change
my mind. What do you do?".
This is not to say that you have been shown to be wrong:yE/--at
least to your satisfaction (pardon Internet noise on line above).
But I see no signs of you giving even an inch from your
position. On the other hand, those of whom you say you are
tiring have been saying: "yes, non-ergodicity matters; yes,
money's special characteristics are a cause of unemployment;
but there's also these other things we think you should consider."
The oracle who defends his mountain against all comers may
one day find that nobody visits anymore.
