A quick response to Barkley's note that machines sometimes do not take
his legal tender. Legal tender merely means that by tendering you
discharge an already made legalcontractual obligation. In many areas of
endeavor, there is no requrement that I must enter into a legal
contract with you even if you have legal tender. I can, in many economic
activities, refuse your offer of payment. Paul D.
