I now realise that i have been labouring under a misconception - i have
thought for the last 18 months or so that this was pkt - a discussion about
post keynesian thought (excuse the lack of hyphens et al, paul :-)) and for
me that means that part of the intellectual effort is in determining where
the analysis of marx in his intellectual writings help us comprehend the
economy and how it underpins what i would call pkt. the k is for me a
reference to keynesian rather than keynes (who is a minor player in my
conception of capitalism - of which i have argued previously).

now i know. this is a militaristic sympathy club which hates marx. i am much
happier for knowing that. every day now i receive boodles of messages along
the latter lines.

anyway thats me for today - a happy person, much clearer than before. thanks
a lot john.
