Re: Re: hitler and keynes

Dear John (who said among a other things):

I think the GT was written as a defence of capitalism - by suggesting that with
some market tinkering full employment could be attained. Keynes, i think,
failed to understand the hatred that the "captains of industry" had for full
employment and the power they hold in their investment decisions. Marx had
understood it as did Kalecki in Keynes era. Kalecki was a far more crafted
thinker than the bourgois Keynes.

anyway the criticism i have of the above paragraph is

(a) as a defence of capitalism it could not at the same time be a defence of
human rights. capitalism violates human rights by taking production of workers
without payment.

(b) how do you get socialism becoming a theory of totalitarianism? I thought
socialism was a theory of human rights. don't you mean stalinism or something
else? come to think of it, American sponsored Indonesian imperialism in East
Timor is a bit like totalitarianism to me - capitalist motivated at that.

why not just start each of your mails by saying you hate marx and socialism -
it is a repeating theme, under almost any topic heading.

this is of-course not to decry your efforts. every contributor makes the list.

kind regards
bill
