	Dear Stephen,

		I pay and paid you compliments on minimum
	wage positions, and international positions on same,
	not knowing you would credit me with phone stuff.

		I posted my stuff on phones -- innocently.
	Only later did the LIST that "made me do it" come
	back with advice that much of the worry about a
	modem tax stems from a hoax that buzzes around BBS
	operations every few years.

		If it is a hoax this time, I apologize for
	shooting from the hip. It is unfair to jump on the
	FCC if the thing is a hoax.

                Remember me, I'm the guy that mildly defended
	Alan Greenspan (and may have bothered Paul D).  A.G. may
	be wrong and the Fed may be wrong, but full employment
	ought to be in a bill of economic rights. Until it
	is any central bank will hurt labor from time to
	time, just as they hurt my son with his adjustable
	mortgage. We need law to protect labor and homeowners
	from any central bank. But its not the CB's fault
	we don't have the law on the books.
		It's my fault. I've tried to get both laws
	for 11 years. If I knew how to write, Alan might
	not be such an effective -----.
